Case studyHigh-risk field operationsName withheld
A pre-task check that can stop the work.
A field app and management dashboard that turn the pre-task safety conversation into a rule the system enforces, not a signature on paper.
01 — The challenge
Before high-risk work starts, crews must confirm every protection is in place. On paper, the check becomes a signature, and stopping the work feels like failure.
02 — What we built
- A guided conversation before each task. The crew speaks first; the catalog of hazards and controls comes after.
- A single rule engine, shared by every app, blocks the work release when a protection is missing.
- “Work stopped” recorded as a legitimate outcome, never as an error.
- A management dashboard for missing controls, unusual form-completion patterns and contractor links.
03 — Engineering highlights
Offline-first
Per-tenant queues and signed offline access, so the rules still hold without a connection.
Contractor hierarchy
Client, contractor, subcontractor and site, isolated in the database itself.
One system, three surfaces
Native app, PWA and web dashboard sharing one design language and one rule engine.
Infrastructure as code
Reproducible environments with automated staging and production pipelines.
Work is released when the controls are in place, not when the form is signed.
